This 20 Questions game is slightly different, it isn’t the traditional guessing game, but an opportunity to get to know your child a bit better. You can make this 20 Questions game last 10 minutes or half an hour. You can engage as a family or as one to one. What I love, is that you can do it lots of different ways. For example, you can sit down as a a family, print off enough questionnaires for everyone, then you can either all try to answer each other question for one family member, or everyone can fill it out indivually and then share with the family. Alternatively, you can do the 20 Questions questionnaire during some one on one time. Our children do change so much over time and yet somethings stay constant – but which, and using 20 questionnaires once a year can be a great way to see how life has changed.

Twenty questions is a classic game that can be played almost anywhere as players attempt to guess the secret person, place or thing – with only 20 questions to do so. This is a fun game to play on a road trip, one on one or with a group of kids (and adults) or all ages. It’s a great activity to help young children strengthen their critical thinking skills and learn more about communication. The goal is to figure out what the “IT” person is thinking of by asking questions to narrow down the possibilities. All questions should have “yes” or “no” answers. For example - “Is it alive?”, “Is it an object?”, “Is it famous?”, “Is it bigger than a toaster?” Classic rules suggest choosing a person, a place, or a thing. Play until the total number of questions reaches 20 or until someone guesses the right answer.

The classic guessing game 20 Questions is a simple yet effective way to keep kids engaged and having fun. The goal is to figure out what person, place, object, food, or animal the “it” player is thinking of. Typically, a game of 20 Questions works best with two to 10 players. The "it" player thinks of something specific, usually a person, place, animal, or object. The rest of the players take turns asking one question at a time, trying to guess the answer. The questions should be yes/no questions only. A player can guess the answer at any time during the game, as long as it’s their turn. The winner is whoever guesses the correct answer. The game is a great way for kids to think critically and analyze information, which is best done at their own pace. The goal is to narrow down the questions as the game goes on.
