I had ignored her sons' behaviour towards my DD & SS for quite some time. It was only when things started getting aggressive that I felt I had to intervene. I stepped in and told them they needed to share as they had been playing on it for a long time and that it wasn't nice to be mean and shout at/push people. I was firm, but not rude.

Be considerate of everyone who is around you and make sure you do not keep them from having a good time by following these basic rules. Do not try to get ahead of anyone in line, whether it is a line to buy tickets for rides, to get on a ride, to order or purchase food, to find a table at which to eat. Running can be dangerous because you could accidentally run into someone else and knock them down or hurt them or injure yourself by running into something. Walking at a normal speed is much better and safer. Follow good dining manners, whether you are eating a hot dog or hamburger, do not lick your fingers, use a napkin, chew with your mouth closed, do not stuff too much food in your mouth at one time. Do not use inappropriate language at any time. Stay in line and be careful not to step on anyone’s feet. Be polite to all the ride attendants and follow the rules which are provided. If you get wet on a ride, do not shake your body so as to spray water on anyone else after you get off the ride. Yelling and screaming when near others is not appropriate.

You can set a good example for how to behave on public lands. Don’t take stuff, that’s obvious, right, parks are home to ancient art, historic artifacts, rare plants and many other treasures we know it would be wrong to steal. These seemingly small objects are part of much larger ecosystems that nourish and shelter a range of critters. Stay on the trails, parks are made for exploring, but some places are too delicate or dangerous to withstand throngs of people. Be mindful of where you bring your dog, dogs can aggravate wildlife and disturb plants, so park staff consider carefully which areas are safe for them to use. Give wildlife plenty of room, getting to see wildlife up-close is one of the main reasons people go to national parks, keep a safe distance — at least 100 yards from bears and wolves and 25 yards from other wildlife. National parks are places anyone can visit and experience exceptional vistas and adventures, following a few commonsense practices will help ensure that they — and you — will continue be around for years to come.

Before you head to the playground, go over a playground safety checklist with your little one. Remind them to take turns, watch for other children, and use the equipment the way it's supposed to be used. Always Follow Playground Equipment Rules, ensure that your child is using age-appropriate equipment. If they can't reach the ground on a swing or climb steps easily, they should probably wait until they grow a bit until they use that equipment. Teach your youngster to make a quick observation of a piece of playground equipment before using it. Check to see if there are any other children in tunnels or moving down the slide before entering. Teach your kiddo always to keep their head up and eyes open as they move around the park. Walking several feet away from swings and slides instead of right in front of them is a fundamental rule to remember. Also, watch for other kids and adults when moving around. Avoid dressing little ones in clothing that could catch on playground equipment or cause injuries. Ask your child to remove necklaces, earrings, and other jewelry before playing. Remind youngsters to play on the ground, preferably in an area of the park that's not near play equipment, and to watch for other children while they play. Teach kids not to talk to strangers unless they're with you and to always stay in your view.

Do not remove anything from the Park. Do not light fires in the National Park! Please keep your dog on a leash. Please be as quiet as possible. By doing so, your chance to see wild animals will rise.
