I use benches on occasion if they are tall enough and picnic tables but they are a little too low and short in comparison to a tunnel. I have a tunnel with sandbags but it is for a small size dog and know that rips in the tunnel can be super unsafe. I also imagine a tunnel to small could cause a collision or fly up even with a sandbag if it catches on the dog’s body. I have a chute but I’ve been told that many of them are not safe due to the pins that hold the base in place and can injure a dog. Need to practice some tunnel drills and proofing tunnels around other obstacles.

Kids love crawling. Open up the ends of some large cardboard boxes and place them end to end to create a tunnel. Fill it with balloons for an extra challenge. If you don’t have any boxes handy, try pegging a tent’s fly sheet to the ground with just enough slack to crawl under.

Figure out how many tunnels you want to make and multiply that number by the quantities above. Sides: Make a “T” shape for each side by using a 3 way connecter. Insert two 12″ pipes with 2 end caps for the horizontal base. Insert the 24″ piece perpendicular so it goes up and down. Top: Make the top of the tunnel, use two elbow joint connecters to attach the top 24″ pipe to the two sides. Repeat for each tunnel.
