The five C's - clarity, choice, control, conditioning and confidence- are tools that can help one learn to respond to stress in a healthier, more productive manner. In times of stress, pay attention to the following: - Clarity - Where is the stress coming from? Is it personal or professional? Is it from the past or something that might happen in the future? - Choice - Some people are stress seekers and are motivated by stress, he added. - Control - How much control do you have over your stress? - Conditioning - This pertains to a person's ability to condition their minds to handle stressors over which they have no control, such as family illnesses or office policies. - Confidence - Confidence is the by-product of practicing the other four C's, he said.
