The universe doesn’t tell you or give you “yes” or “no” answers. It merely reflects choices and gives you opportunities to check in and make sure that you feel confident in your steps and are taking aligned action in the pursuit of your goals. Life will always have obstacles that you will need to overcome. When you have a past full of unhealed pain or trauma, the perceptions are going to be skewed and the truth of the situation will be harder to see. We can’t blame outwardly for things not going the way we want them to go. We need to check in with our soul and not let our perceptions and fears steer us away from taking ownership in our life. Healthy minds understand that obstacles are just obstacles and don’t define our destiny. Receiving a sign from the universe is a connection, not a person in charge of your life. Signs should be your cheerleaders, not your leaders.

Sometimes life sends signals — subtle and not-so-subtle hints — that you’re veering off track. Constant roadblocks can be the universe’s way of telling you to rethink your choices. Maybe you’re forcing something that isn’t meant for you. The universe might be saying, “Hey, you didn’t learn the lesson last time, so here it is again!” If you’re pursuing something that isn’t meant for you, the universe will find a way to block it. The universe doesn’t send signs to punish you; it’s just nudging you toward a better path. Recognizing these signs can save you from unnecessary stress and guide you toward a more aligned path. That nagging sense of unease can be a signal from the universe. When your inner peace is nowhere to be found, it’s time to ask yourself, Am I being true to myself?

It feels like the Universe is conspiring against you. But the Universe isn’t punishing you. It is guiding you to a place where you can start again. Sometimes things fall apart so better things can fall together. It took me a long time to realize that the Universe wasn’t punishing me. It was trying to set me free.
