You need an ultrasonic noise maker with a very high frequency. There are apps in the App store like "Dog Whistle" that could work, and it's free. Maybe what you need is a big dog in the yard for protection. Ideally that plugs into your iPhone and is very small/lightweight.

A dog whistle is no proper tool to stop an actual attack. The dog will simply ignore it.

Although your dog may not know what the dog whistle means, the noise can surprise them and stop them from the altercation. If you notice that your dog is getting aggressive, with their hair raised, you may want to blow the whistle for them to stop. This is a safer way to get involved compared to stepping in between two large dogs. The loud, high-pitched frequency may not be pleasant and cause discomfort as opposed to pleasure. Not all dogs respond well the whistles. Dog whistles have an interesting history, these small whistles have been around for centuries and were first created and used for hunting, dogs used as herding dogs or hunting were trained by their owners to hear the whistle and respond. The dog whistle blows at a frequency that only dogs can hear, which means that dear isn’t afraid of the sound if they hear it at all. Instead, it commands the dogs to go hunt.

A whistle with a sharp note or ultrasonic: Dogs have sensitive hearing and a whistle with a sharp or ultrasonic tone can be effective in shutting down a dog that's engaging in aggressive behavior.
Sometimes dogs attack no matter what precautions are taken and a dog deterrent is necessary.
Carry Dog Deterrents
It's not always possible to anticipate having a run-in with an aggressive dog.
Using a deterrent can make all the difference between a minor and major injury and most deterrents are easily carried around the body.

I was wondering if a dog whistle would stop the dog from continuing to bite my dog if it happened again. Could a dog whistle prevent a future attack.

Dogs do not like loud noises, and the piercing sound of a whistle could be enough to stop a dog in attack mode in its tracks. Carrying a whistle when you walk or run is a good way to be prepared in the unlikely event you stumble upon a dog ready to bite. A whistle can also help protect you from dangerous people, as it can alert others nearby that you need help.
If you are being attacked by a dog, using a series of loud, firm commands can help you divert their attention and avoid dog bites. It is also important to note that if you see a stray dog or a pack approaching you, being prepared with other methods such as a spray bottle can help.
Do not kick the dog, or it might bite down harder, do not scream and run, or you might encourage the dog to chase after you.
