The 2025 Good Dog Photo Contest is now closed, and G&G editors are busy going through the thousands of entries. We will select one overall winner and one sleeping winner, who will be featured in the December 2025/January 2026 issue of Garden & Gun. The overall winner will receive a prize pack from G&G and the sleeping dog winner will receive a plush dog bed from Crypton. The overall winner, sleeping dog winner, honorable mentions, and readers’ choice winners will be announced here on November 4. Thank you to all who entered and voted. Best in Show 2025: Australian Photographic Dog Prize is a biennial prize that celebrates Australian dogs and pays homage to the legacy of David Roche AM.
Best in Show 2025: Australian Photographic Dog Prize offers a first prize of $5000.
The Young photographer category offers a first prize of $500 and the People’s Choice Award $500.

The PEOPLE's World's Cutest Rescue Dog Contest Presented by the PEDIGREE® Brand is back for 2025. In July, the contest, in its eighth year, launched a search for an adorable rescue dog to follow in the pawsteps of past winners like Hobie, the one-eyed terrier mix, and Margot, the stunning pit bull mix, who took the top prize in 2024. Celebrity judges Kristin Davis, Shawn Johnson East, and the hosts of CBS Mornings, and judges from PEOPLE and the PEDIGREE® brand will pick the grand prize winner. Aside from earning the title of World's Cutest Rescue Dog, the grand prize winner of this year's contest will receive a photo shoot, a feature in PEOPLE Magazine and on People.com, a year's supply of dog food from the PEDIGREE® brand, and a $1,000 donation to the animal rescue organization of their choice.
