Nexgard and Simparica are treatments that are only for dogs. Both Nexgard and Simparica are oral forms of flea and tick treatment. Nexgard eliminates 100% existing flea within just 24 hours. On the other hand, Simparica begins to eliminate adult fleas in just 3 hours and ticks in just 8 hours. But that being said, Simparica does kill an additional tick specie and is relatively faster in eliminating fleas and ticks. Hence, Simparica would be the bigger bet, but Nexgard is just as effective. Gulf coast ticks may not be common in dogs but they can be extremely harmful and while Nexgard isn’t effective in getting rid of them, Simparica is extremely powerful in tormenting such tick species.

NexGard is a fantastic option if you’re looking for powerful flea and tick protection. NexGard eliminates fleas and all major tick varieties. Simparica is another excellent option for flea and tick control. Simparica covers all the bases when it comes to ticks and does an excellent job with fleas, too. For focused flea and tick protection, NexGard and Simparica are fantastic. NexGard PLUS offers comprehensive coverage AND is more convenient than trying to remember to give your beloved Fido two pills each month. It’s also more cost effective than buying two different types of preventatives to get complete protection.
