PDSA Vet Care Ear Cleaner cleanses and moisturises dogs’ ears to gently loosen dirt and earwax and help maintain healthy ears. Ear cleaner is an essential part of your home pet care kit. Especially useful for dogs with floppy, hairy ears or those that suffer with allergies or recurrent ear infections. Regular cleaning of your dog's ears will help to prevent ear problems. Can be used once or twice a week as a routine ear cleaner. Squeeze 5-10 drops into the ear. Gently massage the base of the ear, before allowing the dog to shake its head. Finally, wipe away any visible dirt and earwax with cotton wool.

No matter what breed your dog is, it’s a good idea to regularly check and clean their ears to prevent dirt from building up, which can lead to bacteria and infections. Your dog’s ears play a big role in their ability to pick up sounds, even the faintest ones. But because their ears are so open, they’re also prone to collecting dirt, dust, and dead skin cells. Over time, these things can create a perfect environment for yeast, bacteria, and parasites to grow, which can lead to an ear infection.

For normal weekly cleaning, you can use Commercial Ear Cleaner, such as Halo’s Herbal Natural Ear Wash Solution. Vinegar Rinse is also a good option, create a mixture of 1/3 apple organic cider vinegar and 2/3 water. Using a dropper, gently flush the ear canal with between 1 and 5 ml of the solutions. If you can see a build-up of oil or wax inside the ear, try using an Almond Oil dog ear cleaning solution. Pour a small amount of almond oil into a cup or glass and slowly drop about ½ teaspoon of almond oil into your dog’s ear canal using a plastic or glass dropper. Allow the oil to run down ear canal for 5 seconds. Gently massage the ear canal with your thumb and forefinger. Use a soft cloth, tissue or special ear cleaning pad to remove the excess oil.
