At 11 weeks, your puppy is in the 8-12 weeks phase, this is an important time for your puppy, as what they learn and experience now will shape their future behaviour. Your puppy isn't fully vaccinated yet, but it's essential to continue socialisation by giving your puppy positive experiences like introducing them to other pets, letting them meet other healthy, fully vaccinated dogs and cats. Carrying them around outside to introduce them to new people, sights and sounds. Gradually introduce them to other experiences, such as the car, grooming, being handled and having their ears, eyes and other body parts checked. You should also begin to leave them alone for short periods to prevent separation-related behaviour. Establish a consistent routine and rules, reward good behaviour and ignore bad behaviour. Feed them the same puppy food as they had before and keep the same routine with small, regular meals. Continue puppy toilet training by rewarding them when they go outside.

Crate training, potty training, and basic training should all be well under way. You may notice that your fur baby’s energy level has shot up and they need lots of daily play time and exercise. Dogs this age are usually active in the mornings and evenings. Give your little one three meals of puppy food each day. Your pup is still growing and will need around 18 hours of sleep a day. Keep up the pawsome work on potty training. They should be catching on by now and having fewer accidents. Have plenty of toys on hand to keep your fur ball occupied. Rather than angry scolding, use pawsitive reinforcement to teach them that their teeth should never be used on humans. Distract them, give them a toy, or pull your hand away and say “Ouch!”
