A regular health care check gives us the opportunity to spot any potential issues before they become serious. Our health checks typically include a thorough nose to tail examination of your pet. Our experienced team will check every detail to make sure your pet is healthy in every way. This will include checking their temperature, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, skin and more. Regular checks also give us the opportunity to check your pet is developing well and is as healthy as possible. This includes checking their teeth, weight and more. At a health check, your vet or registered veterinary nurse will be able to monitor the unique needs of your pet at the specific stage of its life – for example, paying special attention to an elderly pet’s blood pressure or a puppy’s skeletal development.

The cost of our pet health check is £55. Any additional treatments or procedures arising are charged in addition to this. We strongly recommend joining our Pet Health Plans where the health check is included as part of the plan AND you can spread the costs of this and other routine pet healthcare costs in easy monthly payments starting from just £16pm. A standard pet health check takes 15 – 20 minutes. The health check is carried out by one of our experienced veterinary surgeons. All pets should have a full health check once per year. We recommend that older pets are checked every six months as they can be prone to developing age related health conditions. You can book an appointment for a health check by calling the RVC Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital on 0207 387 8134 or using the online booking system.
