The cost of our pet health check is £55. Any additional treatments or procedures arising are charged in addition to this. We strongly recommend joining our Pet Health Plans where the health check is included as part of the plan AND you can spread the costs of this and other routine pet healthcare costs in easy monthly payments starting from just £16pm. A standard pet health check takes 15 – 20 minutes. All pets should have a full health check once per year. We recommend that older pets are checked every six months as they can be prone to developing age related health conditions. You can book an appointment for a health check by calling the RVC Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital.

The cost of a puppy health check is not explicitly stated, but the price of some services can be used to estimate the cost. Consult Vet is £58, Follow-up consult is £47.50, and Consult Nurse is £25. Puppy Vaccines cost £95, and if the first vaccine is already given, the price is £50. Additionally, the Pet Health for Life plans for dogs under 25kg cost £20 per month, and for dogs over 25kg cost £26 per month, which includes a range of treatments and services, but the exact cost of a puppy health check is not specified. Some treatments and services are included in the Pet Health for Life plans, and the standard price for each service can be found on the website or by contacting Pets'n'Vets.

The cost of your puppy’s check-ups will vary depending on your dog’s health and where you live. A young puppy needs a series of vaccinations which will increase the initial costs, so be ready for the first vet bill to reflect that. However, when it comes to the regular check-ups the cost will likely decrease. Unless you puppy needs special medication or in cases of an emergency most vet trips won’t be significant out-of-pocket affairs. Insurance can be a lifesaver in the case of accidents or injury as it is surprisingly easy to run up large vet’s bills and a good insurance policy means you will never have to worry about not being able to afford to treat your puppy if the worst should happen. Many breeders will have arrangements where you will get six week’s free insurance, and it is up to you if you want to continue this.
