Sudocrem, a popular antiseptic cream is widely used for various skin conditions in humans. However, using it on dogs requires careful consideration. While Sudocrem contains zinc oxide and benzyl alcohol which can be beneficial for certain skin issues, it also contains other ingredients that may not be suitable for canine skin. Soothing Properties Sudocrem's soothing properties can provide relief for dogs with minor skin irritations, such as itching and redness. Ingestion Risks Dogs are prone to licking and if they ingest Sudocrem, it may lead to stomach upset or more severe complications. Potentially Harmful Ingredients Some ingredients in Sudocrem may not be suitable for dogs and could cause adverse reactions, such as allergic responses. Always consult with your veterinarian before introducing new products to your dog's skincare routine to ensure their health and well-being.

Used on my dog, recommended by the Vet. The reason I needed it my dog, yes dog. My four year old Alaskan Malamute had a castration. The vet then mentioned to buy sudocrem for him, and to apply on his wound as she was concerned about hot spots if he should get the collar off. Since using the cream twice a day, his wound is not inflamed any more and virtually healed. So anyone who has a dog, yes you can use sudocrem to heal wounds. Sudocrem works wonders on a lot of the body and strange but true pets as in dogs. Works as an antiseptic cream, does have an odour but I like the antiseptic smell.
