Puppies and senior dogs have different exercise needs.
The amount of exercise a dog needs ULTIMATELY depends on the dog.
To find out specifically how much exercise your individual dog should have per day, consult your vet.
Very boisterous dogs will need to run off a lot more steam than more retiring doggos.
But for dogs the world over, a good walk (or walks!) every day can help to keep your dog mentally and physically healthy and will reduce unwanted behaviours based on anxiety and boredom.
There are many factors not considered in this calculator that may affect how much exercise your dog needs such as: breed, metabolism, spayed / neutered status, personality, orthopedic status and other medical conditions.
