While foods are not the source of motion sickness, the effects of motion sickness can be greatly exaggerated depending upon what type of food you consumed. Spicy, salty, and otherwise strongly flavored foods should be huge no-nos. Both before you enter an amusement park and while you are enjoying the attractions there. Instead, choose bland foods and be sure to eat a meal before you arrive so that it has had time to settle. Toast, plain cereal, and crackers are all good basic choices. Saltines, ginger drops, and goldfish crackers are all great choices for a rescue snack pack.

A meal deal from Burger King is something I may try on my way to the park, then hope for the best. There's a Burger King on the way to the park, which I will walk to from my house. I would like to try once in awhile, some of the 'stuff' offered right there at Playland, tho. There's a White Spot onsite, which has/had great burgers and fries, tho a touch pricy. But that'll get me ready for Theme Park overly-priced food, hmmm?

Staying clear of “spicy, greasy or fatty” foods is a good idea. Not overeating or binging is also obviously a good idea. When you’re on a roller coaster, your body has to go through intense G-forces, inversions, and accelerations, along with all the mentioned forces, your adrenaline and excitement also contribute to a gastrointestinal environment paved for troubles. No one wants to end a ride because of a spill cleanup. It’s absolutely embarrassing, and not to mention, an unpleasant experience for everyone else.

Hydrate and don't eat heavy meals the day before you plan on hitting the rides, and eat a small, bland breakfast the morning of your trip. Think plain toast, dry cereal, or oatmeal. Skip the fried foods, or save them for the end of the day before heading home, these foods already have the potential to cause discomfort, even if you weren't throwing yourself through the air all day. Plus they're also slow to digest, so they'll be sloshing around in your stomach even longer. Pretzels or popcorn can be okay, but skip the cheese sauce or butter. If you do want more of a sweet fix, opting for lemonade over soda, and popsicles or sherbet instead of ice cream is recommended. The less sugar, the better.

Stay away from spicy foods or food you have never had before. Eat a bland breakfast before you go, so choose bland foods like plain cereal, toast and crackers or scrambled eggs with nothing else in or on them. You want something in your stomach to keep it settled. Choose drinks that are low in sugar and will help settle your stomach. Hot temperatures and dehydration can make that queasy feeling worse. Stay hydrated throughout the day.
