It’s actually possible to take your dog to the dog park too often. A visit to the dog park increases your pup’s stress level. This excitement releases cortisol, a stress hormone. After a stressful event, it takes time for the dog’s hormone levels to return to normal; it can be as long as a whole week. Stress hormones are cumulative, meaning that if a dog has another stressful event before it has recovered from the previous one, the overall levels will be even higher. This means that many dog park attendees are stuck in a cycle of ever increasing stress hormones, as their bodies don’t return to normal levels in between dog park visits.

While there are dogs that go to dog parks and have a great time, there are sometimes behavioral problems that can arise from too frequent visits. The big issue with the dog park is dogs are engaged in over-arousal play and for long periods of time. This means the play is hard, noisy, and fast paced and often goes on for far too long. It doesn’t take much for it to tip from fun to frustration and that is when trouble can arise. If all goes well and your dog doesn’t get into fights, this type of frequent over-arousal play can still lead to an over-socialized dog. When you socialize your dog, it should be for a relatively short period of time and it should always be positive. For every hour of group dog play, you do you should spend 2-3 times that playing with your dog and building focus and communication with him.

As long as your dog is not getting overheated and she isn't rubbing her pawpads raw on concrete, she should be good. If it is very hot or humid, or she acts like she is tired I would decrease the amount of time. It sounds like she loves playing outside every day, it will keep her healthy and happy to have exercise. From what you describe, that sounds like a good amount of time. She pants a lot and her tongue is bright reddish pink, she goes to rest immediately after we get home, but that seems to be a normal reaction to exercise. Lol, it sounds like she loves it, she even refuses to leave the dog park.
