I haven't known of any other dogs personally who made it that long, but on the internet I've noticed that it isn't unheard of. The r/dogs sub contains a few death announcements for dogs who made it to 18, and even a few who made it to 19, although I've never met one in real life. In fact I've never known anyone who had one, or even been able to find anyone who knew of one. So it sounds like it's a quite uncommon occurrence.
13 or 14 seems to be the standard life expectancy for dogs, although quite a few dogs make it to 15 or 16.
