I had put some treats in the crate before she noticed, picked her up, put her in front of the crate, and as she started to eat the treats I gently pushed the back legs in, closed the gate, and sat next to her until she fell asleep. She never willingly goes in during the day, although lately when I wake up to let her out at night she will come back in and go back into the crate on her own. Sometimes she stops and goes to sleep, and other times she is worked up that I pick her up and hold her for a few minutes so she calms down before I put her back in the crate.
