Sometimes, a seemingly unwarranted affection between a dog and a person is simply a meeting of the minds. There’s a good chance your dog will want to snuggle up to the one who allows them to jump on the soft, warm couch, rather than the one who makes them lie down on the vet’s cold table. Because they experience happiness and sadness, they also have empathy, and it also means a dog’s allegiance can change over time. If a couple separates, the dog could wind up picking sides. They operate on what’s going on in the atmosphere and inside of us, when one person falls out of love, the dog feels the difference and picks up on it.

Following you is also a way for your dog to feel secure and protected, and it’s a sign of their love and attachment to you. When your dog cuddles with you, it makes them feel happy and secure, and it also strengthens your bond with them. So the question now is, do dogs feel love, yes they absolutely do.
