The vet gave me a medicated wash that I use when I bathe her once every two weeks and it definitely helps, but if I am not absolutely religious about it she stinks again. She doesn't roll in anything or eat anything suspicious, but according to my vet it's a skin condition that doesn't cause her any pain, but just makes her smell. The problem is, not only does she stink but she makes everything else stink (blankets, sheets, dog bed, pillows, my clothing if i cuddle her too long) and I have NO idea what to do to avoid it, except bathe her every day which is just not realistic.

A quick way to deodorize the dog and the bedding, give it a spritz. Make it! Fill a spray bottle with ¼ witch hazel and ¾ water. Add about 5 drops of lavender essential oil to the mixture. You can add a bit more essential oil if you wish, but don’t make the scent too strong as your dog probably won’t like it. Pat your dog’s fur with baking soda or corn starch for a quick dry bath. Either one will neutralize odors.

Diamond Life Carpet Deodorizer for rugs, carpet, couches, your bed AND your pet beds can help erase the odor. Just sprinkle on and vacuum it up and it helps erase the odor. It smells great, and it’s made by a small business so you can feel good supporting her with your purchase! She has other scents, as well. The stink clings to their coats and gets left behind on anything they rub against. Anyone who has ever owned a labrador retriever knows that it takes minutes after a bath for them to smell like a goat with a skunk scented albatross hanging around its neck. They just naturally stink.

Dogs have a tendency to get themselves into stinky situations, leaving us less than excited about their aroma. This quick pet deodorizing solution makes it easy to naturally deodorize your pet. This expert-approved deodorizing spray is made with just a few natural ingredients: glycerin, fractioned coconut oil, and essential oil. These ingredients are safe for dogs and effective at freshening up their fur, says Ivana Crnec, DVM, with Veterinarians.org. Adding essential oils to this blend deodorizes your pet naturally. To use this deodorizer, spritz onto your dog's coat, comb through, and allow to dry. Do not spray on the face. While it is safe to use this spray on a daily basis, Dr. Crnec suggests using it every few days, usually before or after regular brushing or combing. Using the deodorizer as part of the grooming routine will keep the dog fresh between baths.
