Do dogs sulk when you come back from holiday?

Both of my labs sulk IF I go on a nightout. When I was younger and lived with my parents we had a Spaniel who would sulk as soon as the suitcase's came out at holiday time and ignore you for the first half an hour upon return from your holiday. The opposite happens with the 2 I have now as I have a caravan and they come with us so when the case's come out the get giddy because they know their going on their holidays.

When we first got back she was quite bewildered by our return and very excited to see us again. She was very clingy for the first day after we got back but is now back in her routine happily snoozing on her favourite red chair. We were gone for a week and had a great day and despite worrying a lot before hand I didn't worry so much once the holiday had started. She was very well behaved for a friend who took her for walks while I was gone, dad fed her and let her out for toilet breaks and looked after the other animals too. Millie has settled after two days.
