The 3-3-3 rule for shelter dogs seemed pretty legit to me, until I adopted my boy.
The shelter he landed in by the time I got him had pretty minimal information- from what they knew it sounds like he had been in the pound since puppy age and basically lived in a cage his whole life in various pounds/shelters.
Ive been pretty hard on myself, thinking holy crap it’s past 3 months he should be settled.
Does 3 months feel short to anyone else?
Or maybe because he was likely in a cage for 2 years the process is just a bit slower.
