In general, children shouldn't require a stroller after the age of three. Although strollers are convenient, it's on you as a parent to promote an active lifestyle once your child starts walking independently. When children should cease using strollers is determined by a variety of factors, including individual development, parenting choices, and safety. However, while some children may be ready to wean themselves from a stroller as early as 18 months of age, others may require a little more time. Although the exact age differs from child to child, your little one should generally stop requiring a stroller after the age of three.

It very much depends on the child, and how far you walk. Carys is 2.5, and if we are going into town in the car and just having a little wander round then I don't bother with the buggy. But every day she needs to walk down to school to take the boys, then back up to nursery school, which is about a mile. I don't expect her to walk 2.5 miles a day, especially when its raining, and when we need to walk quickly to get there in time, so we do take the buggy for some of the trips. Basically it depends on the weather, how tired she is, and how quickly we need to get there.
